
Steven Chew
WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Steven Chew is a Los Angeles based writer, director, and producer born and raised in the Southeast section of Washington DC. Within his television and film career, he has produced and casted a variety of projects – reality, live studio, and documentaries with various networks such as MTV, Vh1, BET, HBO, FX, and Conde Nast Entertainment. These shows include "Da Brick", an HBO pilot directed by Spike Lee and written by John Ridley; and also, the FX comedy show "Totally Biased”, executive produced by Chris Rock.
Steven has also co-written and produced the digital series, "Get Your Life" on "Issa Rae's Presents" YouTube channel; and written, directed, and produced an original pilot "I Used to Love Her" which premiered at Urbanworld Film Festival.
His media network titles have included Senior Producer at Complex Networks, and Supervising Producer at Red Bull Media House, Westbrook Inc., and Netflix. Steven is currently developing his first feature film, "Give The Drummer Some", a coming of age drama that highlights Washington DC go-go music.
